Our intern programmes are designed to address the essential skills set areas that are needed to create a well rounded and functional business professional.

B-BBEE Benefits of SBI Intern and Youth Programmes

SBI Intern Programmes will enable Measured Entities that use these programmes to upskill their workforce and unemployed people to claim Skills Development points in terms of potentially every sub-element on the Skills Development scorecard for the full amount of their expenditure, including salaries or stipends of the learners for the period of the programme.

If a Measured Entity or another entity within the same industry chooses to provide permanent or long-term contract employment to unemployed individuals that have completed the Intern Programme within that entity’s financial period, the Measured Entity will be able to score bonus points in terms of sub-element 3.3 of the B-BBEE codes. The Measured Entity has provided the unemployed individual with the opportunity to become sufficiently upskilled to ensure their employability.

SBI Intern Programmes provide Measured Entities with the opportunity to fine-tune the skills of current and future employees through training solutions that are tailor-made to suit any ICT industry specialisation, whilst also providing a vehicle through which B-BBEE needs can be addressed.
