On completing this programme, you will have developed a solid foundational understanding of the Internet of Things. This programme is designed to first give you a broad spectrum overview and then a deeper look into the inner workings of end-to-end IoT architectures. You will learn the layered architecture that is IoT from the myriad of connectivity options, through to the transmission network, to the messaging protocols, backend cloud systems and security. The objective of this programme is to expose you to the world of IoT and give you an end-to-end understanding of the operation of the IoT network.

Developing an end-to-end IoT solution isn’t easy. It requires a pool of talent that is multidisciplinary. In this programme you will be exposed to the various essential aspects of IoT implementations – connectivity issues, cloud architectures and systems, security designs, back-end management and data analytics This will help you identify the facets of a successful IoT implementation.

The IoT skills programme combines the IoT Foundation and IoT Implementation SPRINGBOARD courses plus  appropriate SAQA Unit Standards into a learning programme.

The benefit of a skills programme is that it enables your organisation to leverage Seta Discretionary grants plus maximise points claimed on the Skills Development element of their B-BBEE Scorecard.
